(Soon to be X-posted with my LJ)

Exactly what the title says! Yay for me and my co-workers!
Mmkay, so basically I ended up my early shift (pre-event) and tried to find an HP related shirt because after the chaos that was my first shift I DID NOT want to dress up...
Seriously. More work during those 3 hours than during an 8 hour shift during Christmas season. More work than Black Friday! X_X
Anyways.... No HP shirts in my size. Phhbbttt! Damn Hot Topic & FYE!
Well, I could've worn the Voldemort shirt, but I'd have to gouge my eyes out and then sacrifice them to an evil demon first along with my non-existant first born.
Last ditch effort was to go to CATO and try to find something Griffyndor related. NO LUCK! *curses* Butttt...I did find a pretty black vest on the Clearance Rack and then, after consulting with another lady, I ignored her red shirt choice (not comfy) and went with a plain white long-sleeved button up shirt. *nodnod*
AND I LOOKED PIRATEY!
I was going for a "foreign wizard" look but said screw it. I looked too piratey, or Van Helsing-y, for a wizard. To hell with it, however, because I was tired. No lookey for anything else, GO. HOME. AND. EAT.
After I buy the vest and shirt (less than $30 - which is good for nice-any-time clothes that double as pirate) I call home, exaughested. By this time I have been on my feet and not eaten in almost six or so hours. x-x
So I get home, ignore food, rehydrate myself and lay down and BAM. Huge migrane. Huge migrane that made me CRY and SCREAM.
After an hour of a nap, and some really crappy drugs since the good ones would cause me not to function that night, I got up and got dressed. White shirt + black vest + silver cross choker necklace + worn black boots + biggg tan dress pants + glasses + dangly bracelet = The only pirate at the HP event at my store.
All ready I eventually get there, an hour early like scheduled and find out I am in charge of games along with Melissa.
Oh and Melissa, Jo Ellen, Sheila and I were the only ones dressed up. xD Everyone else wore HP shirts and pants. JERKS! <3
After glancing through the games again, neither of us really paid too much attention to it before hand, we find the S-N-A-P-E Bingo game and quickly agree it'll be a crowd favourite after "Who Am I?" but wayyy before "Palm Reading". Only, come to find out, the bingo cards arn't cut.
Heh...Hehehe... *kills something*
Right. They're not pre-cut, but they're in the packace that we're not supposed to open until it's time for the HP event? Genius! Melissa get's to cutting, I get to sharpening pencils...with an electric pencil sharpener.
...
We got pens, instead. The guests had to suffer. [/sarcasm]
Interrupting our game organizing fun, Sheila, the event Headmistress and our boss, comes out with the cart full of prizes (which originally included nothing but romance books. -pause- I wish I was lying.). Guess who stopped helping to cut up bingo cards and went straight to the shinies? XD *flails about wildly*
Unfortunately, the only HP related prize were tattoos and everything else were other book related prizes.
Fortunately, NO ONE COMPLAINED. <3
Also, one of the prizes was a cardboard Vampirates Pirate Patch. I broke one and placed it inside my glasses. I BE PIRATE!

*rebel*
Shortly after we sort out the prizes, take a group picture and generally hang all over the gate to the store acting like idiots...the gates open!
Everyone takes their places, people take to the SNAPE bingo like flies... I bug Melissa, we hit and steal things from eachother, people laugh, the OMG-ADORKABLE-MINI Harry Potter's win ALOT of prizes, the 'Friend or Foe?' Snape debaters came prepared, babies cry, parents suck at parenting.... it all goes good, give or take the people that wouldn't shut up and be considerate of those playing games - including the sudden Costume Contest our co-workers sprung on us. xD;;
Repeatedly, and I swear by this, when we had people raising their hands during the 'Who Am I?' game (because if they yelled at us, we'd start a mutiny) this is the conversation that took place:
Melissa: "I didn't see... Who was first?"
Me: "The Mini-Harry Potter."
Melissa: "Again?"
Me: "Yep."
Melissa: "Ho-okay! Mini Harry Potter, your up!"
Mini Harry Potter: -answers correctly 95% of the time-
Him and his 'twin' (younger brother dressed up like him, I assume) were too damn cute. Melissa and I agreed on this and tried not to glomp them - because they'd be squished. They were 6 to 8, I'm 19 and she's 21-ish. They wouldn't live through the hugs. T_T
Do I need to even mention that they both had Nimbus 2000s? *_* Cuteness!
Moving on, games wrap up...people start getting in line and chaos ensues. Long story short, people didn't read the check-in-wristband system we had going and we had to pull people and then put them back in line. B-b-b-but...we gave them freebies! >

And I did some palm reading and got flirted, geekily, with by some H-E-B worker.
*snortgiggle*
HEB Guy: *battling with rolled up posters with another guy*
Me: "Hey, take it outside!" *jokingly*
HEB Guy: "Wouldn't it be awesome to go up on those tables and just start duking it out?"
Me: "Yeah, but we can't."
HEB Guy: "But...I'll be a pirate! You'll have the power of HEB on your side!"
Me: "WOO!"
Both of us: *laughing*
Two women wouldn't be quite and talking about us workers until I followed their instructions and then they did the hand sweep "Now someone listens to me!" thing. Ugh.
The rest of the night went by pretty quickly. I ended up doing a general no-no, checking myself out, but had Melissa double check my change just to play it safe.
All in all, the entire night was pretty fun. I enjoyed it...minus the headache.
XD Hopefully my customers listened when I told them to stay offline until they finished the book.
